Kimberly has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting from Colorado State University. She has an active CPA license in Colorado and Arizona, but can perform services in any state. With over 18 years of experience working for large private companies and small business operations, she's not your typical bean counter; she also understands operations and finance.

 

She has held management roles in corporate accounting, billing and collections, cash management, corporate finance, international finance, and on-site business management. She has a broad range of expertise from tracking costs for small retail businesses to managing billions of dollars for corporate engineering portfolios. Her diverse financial experience and knowledge allows her to look at operations from every angle, and provide solutions or share insight that will help support management decisions. She's a jack-of-all-trades, and a master of accounting! ​

 

Early on, Kimberly knew accounting was the perfect field for her. She started working in the office of her family’s small business when she was just nine years old. She answered the phones, filed paperwork, and even helped code expenses! This is where her love of business began and she was introduced to accounting. Kimberly enjoyed all aspects of the business but especially liked helping with the books and learning to use the accounting software. This interest has turned into a lifelong passion and compelled her to open Metrix Accounting to become a business owner herself.

 

Outside of office hours, she likes to spend time with her family, try out new baking recipes, solve jigsaw puzzles, annihilate any opponent in Monopoly, and shop at small businesses.
